  • Is there anything that you look forward to the most?
    If so, what is it?

    and color would it be?

  • What is your favorite joke or funny story?
    How could it become a longer story?

  • Have you thought about New Year's resolutions yet?

    Does this problem seem to be solvable?

    Explain in one paragraph.

  • Imagine that you are writing a story about a character who triumphs over adversity.
    Who is the character and what does he or she do for a living?
    What is the adversity?
    Is it another character, an animal, or thing, such as a storm?
    How does the main character solve the problem?

  • What event made the news bigtime this week so far?
    Are you following it or not? Why or why not?

  • If you could see anyone from your past, who would it be and why?
    What would you tell that person and why?
    Who would you NOT want to see and why?
